We had severe storms roll through our area this morning  I went out into my back yard after the storm and there was branches down everywhere!!! All of a sudden I heard this snap.....A branch came down and went straight through one of my lawn chairs putting a big hole in it. I was standing about 4 or 5 inches away from the branch coming down!!! Talk about beating a path back into my house |

Hey girl! What time did they roll through down there? No damage up here that I could see anyway, but sure as heck woke my butt up earlier then it wanted to get up!! ;D ;D CRACK BOOM BANG went the thunder... LOUDER THEN HECK!

It rained all night...then about 6 this morning all he11 broke loose We have a heat index right now of 104...I guess you know I am parked in the house with the air on!! ;D ;D |

It was about 7:30 here, fast mover apparently!! We didnt get much rain out of it, just a bunch of noise... I am staying inside also, and I have TWO air conditioners running!! Got to love AIR! cat |

This particular storm came down from the north....and those storms are usually the worst....we got a lot of rain....power outages...trees down  And it was amazing to see how fast my cat taz ran for cover under my bed when he heard the thunder ;D ;D ;D |

OOPSIE> .. seems our nasty thunderstorm went somewhere yesterday  .. and now I know where.. SORRY LINDA.. ;D We had the nasty winds, and thunder too.. which is extremely rare for Alaska ... but hey, its gone and I am glad your ok, shaken and lightly stirred , but ok in all...  |

It seems we are in for it again tonight....but I won't be going outside! ;D ;D ;D This stretch of heat has lasted quite awhile which is a little unusual for Michigan. I t hasn't stayed this hot for so long since 1949 It is supposed to be cooler this Wednesday but I am not holding my breath. ;D ;D |

Yeah.. i sure can sympathize Linda!! The one and only time I made the kids go to the basement was a few years ago.. (one kid ago at least!)
They say it wasn't a tornado.. I don't believe them.. All I heard was Boom boom boom.. of trees falling!!
Went in the back yard after to find trees (these are BIG trees) strewn about like toothpicks!
We have lots of trees here.. a couple of weeks ago out of the blue a big branch fell. It was from about 300 feet up, I heard it and didn't see where it was coming from.. and All the kids were in the yard playing.. by the time I saw where it was there was nothing I could have done! It landed about 10 yards from Caleb!!! Yikes... not the kind of thing that helps ya sleep!
