Jada really seems like a manipulative kid, and Isaiah didn't want to be helped or helpful. I think the other kids have shown some real growth and promise. I hope the others see what has happened to these two and determine not to allow their time in the wilderness to be waste. Michael WANTS to go to brat camp... he thinks it would be fun because he is so outdoorsie already. It would be a month or two of doing the fun stuff. Military school is a reward for him too... so what do I have left for options? umm, solitaire? House camp? ;D ;D ;D he'll have to spend 40+ days confined INdoors where he'll have to wash clothes, scrub toilets and tubs, mop floors, dust, etc. ;D ;D I can't wait for tomorrow night's show though. Cami and I almost fell off the couch laughing at the previous episode when Derek sat up hovered all into his sleeping bag crying "I want my mama! I want my mama!" ;D ;D ;D I know we shouldn't have laughed, but it WAS funny! I am enjoying the show though watching the strides he has made along with some of the others. I esp. like Lexie and was very impressed by the gesture the counselor made when he gave her her camp name.

I think Derek is at a great age to be saved from himself. And I think Lexie does really just need someone to help her get through her past. It is great that the counselors are opening up and exposing their own dark moments... I always have believed that kids need to know that adults have already made the same mistakes, we aren't perfect and we aren't going to judge them based on a bad decision... we just want to help them learn SAFELY from our errors.

That is so true Trid...and exactly the philosophy I TRY to live by with Cami and her friends. I have kinda become attached to Frank too. I like the way he has taken Derek under his wing. Here is a website I found to the real Bratcamp: Sagewalk. Some of the counselors you see on the show I'm not seeing on this site. ?? www.sagewalk.com/index.htm

While going through boot camp myself, I witnessed some 18 and 19 y/o's doing the same thing. One kid wanted to get out so bad that he wet his bed every night. I spent the 4th of July escorting him to hospital while he was doing a psyc eval. Everyone else got to go see the fire works. He got to talk to his Dad and said that he wanted to stay in. Uggg. Miles

I'm glad she got to go too Jada.....oh what a hand full, an ddid you see the interview with the parents thinking they are torchering her........... >:(That's her problem, her mother. Iwonder if those parents are watching the show with their kids and see the snips where Jada was admiting that she was trying to manipulate them. Oh boy...tune in next week Oh and I'm glad that Derek has gotten better. I thihnk he's the first one I'd want to take home....not in a bad way, but I would aleast know how to deal with the hyper ness and whining

I missed this week... glad to hear that Lexie went home! Did she make it for Christmas? And did any body else get to go?
I have an over bearing Boy Scout Mom who wouldn't shut up and kept me in the parking lot until way past 9 p.m.

I saw the interview and agree mommy needs to cut loose a little. When you read her bio you see how many boarding and private schools she has dropped out of... , can we say SPOILED here? Course if any of you have actually gone to the Sagewalk site and looked at the price of this program... ... HELLO! I think all these kids can afford spoiled-dom if their parents can afford this! So much for having Cami be on next year's season! ;D ;D As far as Derek, I watch him and think, "yep, classic ADHD there!" The way he shuts down when something is too hard for him, his low self esteem, these are things I see in Cami.

Man, I'm gonna go check out the prices. Remember I said I'd start a school a long time ago for just add/adhd/co-morbids and all that? Let's start a summer camp instead ;D ;D "As far as Derek, I watch him and think, "yep, classic ADHD there!" The way he shuts down when something is too hard for him, his low self esteem, these are things I see in Cami" EXACTLY. that's why I could handle him Oh wait, we couldn't afford to send our own kids ;D

I figured that would choke a few folks up! Did you look at the staff too? There are only two therapists I recognize from the show.
