;D ;D Well there must be SOME fans out there !! .. ;D ;D because JK Rawlings is making A FORTUNE !! ;D But those fans don't appear to be too big right here !! ... ;D and I have to add myself to the "Not keen" side !! ... or .. maybe (to be fair ) more the "I have never given them a fair chance" side !! ;D

my kids love the Harry Potter Movies. At first I didnt want them to see them based on the witch craft thing, but then I saw one on o jet going south and it wasnt as bad as I thought .. So now we own all the dvd's so far, and they eagerly await the new one coming out this fall.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner... I was sleeping all day getting ready for my night with Harry! I am going to the Magic at Midnight Party... and I am NOT taking my kids! I have to read the book before they get hold of it. Michael won't share, and I can't stand waiting for him to finish it. I should be done with it by Tuesday or Wednesday, and then he can have it, I guess. So, I am going to go have my 9 p.m. breakfast, and then spend the night in another world!

I'm a fan of anything that gets kids reading! DH pointed out how timely the release is! This encourages kids to read during the summer, and doesn't distract them from studying during the school year. I had to put down my book long enough to eat, check my e-mail and remind my kids what I look like. I should be finished tonight. I am enjoying the maturing level of the story line. I don't feel like I am reading a childish story now... Maybe from all the time I spend with my boy scouts and the teenage friends, but these characters are well developed and feel like the real thing... I can actually visualize and hear the kids like I was sitting in the room with them. It isn't a stretch to accept them! Well, time to stop analyzing. I have "friends" waiting in the book!

I didnt go to any of the partys, but did get my copy from amazon yesterday. I finished it a few hours ago. Quick read. Much better than OOtP. No more crybaby Harry, but a bit too much emphasis on the "snogging".

I think this was my favorite book yet. I also think that these kids act just like typical 16 yr olds. My DS is 15 and acts just like harry and ron. It took me 6 hours to read. I went to our local walmart to get the book at 12:00am, but they did not have a party or anything. Got home around 12:30 and read untill 6:30am. Then went to sleep untill noon. Looks like all the kids are growing up now, even the ones in books.
