Li'l Sprout has been getting re-evaluated about whether he still qualifies for an IEP these last two weeks. I had them expand the areas to look at since they were going to test him anyway. Tomorrow we go in and see what the results are.
I had thought about requesting the test results ahead of time but I knew they'd be testing right up to the last minute. And besides I don't know enough about the tests to make sense of the results anyway.
Unless everything makes complete sense and the goals and accomodations are more than I would have asked for I won't be signing any papers tomorrow. But stranger things have happened!

I always hate the feeling - you want your child to not need any help, so when the school says he doesn't need an IEP or 504 or whatever, you want to say "Yay! He's outgrown it." But you know they haven't.
I hope it all goes well. Keep us posted.

That was my first reaction. "Oh heck! What if they decide he doesn't need accomodations any more?" I know they'd see how wrong they were within about a week but it would be months before the wheels would turn and he'd have accomodations again.
But I see his raw work at home. I know how much time I spend getting him to polish it up. I'm not real worried the tests are going to show that his adhd and learning problems have vanished into thin air.
