I really need some advice my son 10 years old adhd,odd was playing with his watch a couple of weeks ago well it does beep alot his teacher took it away.Well I called her and she said she confiscates stuff and puts it in her JUNE box,and the kids dont get it back till the last day of school.Well my husband gave my son that waych for a gift he was away in Iraq,well he has just come home and is pissed so I talked to the teacher yesterday at the confence and asked for the watch back just for him to wear at hoome she said no!well my husband is furious should we call the principal or go further I have asked three times in the last week for the watch the same answer these are my rules.

i'd say if she won't give it back to you, that's stealing. It really gives the kids a very bad message when she is allowed to do this IMHO. christie

I think she crosses the line here. The watch is personal property. She has every right to confiscate the watch if it is making too much noise or is a distraction but she should send it home and call you to let you know what the problem is and that he can't bring it to school. The fact that you have asked for it back three times and she refuses to give it to you goes past the boundaries of her job. YOU are the owners of the watch. I don't think keeping personal property against will is a power she has a teacher. I would call the principal and get it back!!!
