We got Nater's first report of the year. It was great. More outgoing, socially accepted, completes assignments on time (except for 3 times). Wouldn't you know, it was the three times we rushed out the door without our medicine? Still is working with his fine motor skill manipulation. We were thinking of getting him a light bright for his birthday coming up, any other ideas? Thanks, Miles

Way to go Nater!!!! What a wonderful report!! What if you would let him have a day of "his own"?? Let him chose what the meals will be... and maybe an activity of some kind.... My son, who is 9 and is ADHD/ODD/Depression, loves it when we celebrate a great report like that. Makes him feel special and like he is in control for that one day!! Again congrats!!!

While I hadnt really thought about games, I wonder if "operation" would be a good game for fine motor skills... The one where you have little tweezers and have to remove a piece of "bone" without hitting the buzzer on the sides??
Congrats on the good report!! That must feel so good!! I hope to have a good report next week when we do parent teacher conferences... Cross you fingers for us!!!

Legos are great and so are k'nex. my son also loves to take things apart...old computer pieces, mixers anything like that. He has his own tool box that we have put together for him; screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches. It keeps his hands and mind busy and helps with fine motor skills. hope that helps. didi

How about Perfection? remember that game, where you have all these different shapes and you push the middle of the game down and have a timer. you have so long to put the shapes into the proper place on the board before it goes off and pops up.
my kids love this one

Another great thing for fine motor skills is the game(?) spyrograph. An occupational therapist recommended it to me.
