Thanks Kaiti and Trid ... and added to that it seems that T's mother doesn't WANT his paternal grandparents "interfering" (as she sees it!) and is almost trying to get him to do the opposite to whatever they are trying to help him with!! But they (his grandparents) CARE soooo much ... that was soooo apparent today !! ...

It is a shame that things have gone poorly for your aunt and uncle...they seem like very caring people. Your "T" doesn't realize what he is screwing up ..Lets pray he comes to his senses.

UPDATE and GOOD NEWS !! Although it was clear that T was lieing about coming to the college last Friday he DID in fact turn up last night !! (so he MUST have sorted it out on the phone!! .. which is sure better than it could have been!! )... I could see his name on the system this morning and could see he had enrolled last night and so immediately called Aunty and Uncle to tell them .... I just hope so much he will STICK WITH IT now !! ... There is a 50% drop out rate ... its very high !! ... and T's classes are in the evenings which I don't think will be a great plus for a guy of his age either!! Oh I hope he sticks with it !!

Good news indeed. Iknow that the US is different then the UK, but you can pass the tid bit about me dropping out of college and therefore losing my position as an example to him. Now they are hiring again, and I can't take advantage of it But please let him know that we are thinking of him overhear.
