If you ever want to know if ADHD is inherited, go to a family reunion. Besides immediate family, we were able to go down many branchs of the family tree. We put a little (A) next to their names as we got pictures for the history books. YIKES, there were lots! Miles

The last family reunion I found WAS at the farm club...
Only BIG problem was the sign said,
"Welcome to the ******ski family reunion"
My DH was the ONLY person to realize... that ******ski isn't how the family name is spelled! ;D ;D ;D
It is ******SKY
My Polish family couldn't even spell our own name correctly, and we didn't even realize that we spelled it wrong until the Irish in-law pointed it out!!!
Since then I have been AFRAID to take DH to anything to do with my side of the family... we don't forget and we don't forgive very well! I still can justify the mistake since my cousin made the sign... and her Mom was one of the SKY family, but her Daddy was a SKI polish family. She just never thought that there are two different endings to polish names!

I was just about to ask if they were pronounced the same, then I thought of differnt last names with various spellings, I guess they are the same huh

DH will never let me live down my family connections...
You have to admit, it is pretty darn funny that we had trouble spelling, and didn't even noticed that there was a problem!!!

;D ;D ;D Trid ... this is SHEER IGNORANCE speaking here ... because I have to admit that I never realised there was an alternative spelling to SKI !! .. I know many people with polish backgrounds/surnames but they are ALL "ski"'s !! BUT ... as an Anne with an "E" I can SO MUCH UNDERSTAND the importance of them "getting it RIGHT" !! That is sooooo funny!! ;D ;D

oh Cheryl... how exasperating! My kids drink way too much soda, so I won't ever give anyone the lecture of limiting sodas... but to ADVOCATE large quantities? ? ?
I can't imagine it. I still think that a little pill prescribed by and montiored by a trained physician has to be safer than vast quantities of commercial soda... Excessive sugars and synthetic colorings and flavorings can't be healthy in the long run.
Forget what her intentions were... you KNOW you are doing what is right for YOUR son... she did her best with her son (right?) so now she just needs to keep her nose out of your business!
Good for you keeping the peace! It is a very hard road to stay on when in-laws open their moths!

We have a fam reunion comingup on the 4th of sept. It is with Bobos paternal side. Should be fun as he hasn't seen them since Bud was 6 months old. We will finally get some answers to alot of medical issues. His mother is a spiteful witch and refuses to tell anything about his dads side medically other than she wants them all dead. It will be nice to see if some of the adhd and bone probs came from that side.

Soon I will be seeing lots of family from my mothers side. Family I haven't seen in over 20 yrs. Last year I had 2 aunts and 2 uncles come and see me and it was so nice to visit with them. Well one of those aunt's was diagnosised with cancer and I don't think she will live very much longer as she is on oxygen and hospice has started to come by~~~they also have a minister coming next week . I went to visit her the other day and she looked good but she couldn't visit very long I did see one of my cousins and 2 of her(adult) kids(along with their kids) .....I have missed them so but because of things that happened with my mother and them I have not had contact with them. This is a very sad way to see and get to know them again but I am very thankful for this opportunity. God works in mysterious ways......
