This weekend we Nate and I were getting our hair cut and one of the ladies cutting hair had to bring her son in because the sitter "was sick". Her son was 9 years old and very ADHHHHHHD. He had been there all day with his mom, and clearly into everything. All the cutters were saying 'stop this, put that down, don't do that'. The mom had had it. We started to talk about how much energy her son had. I asked how much more she had to work and replied with a sigh, 'two hours'. So, I offered to take her son to the park with my son for those remaining two hours. I was not doing anything, and it was a chance for my son to practice being a good friend. I did not expect her to say yes, she said that I was now the last customer and would be going home. I told her that I understood what she was going through with my son, neices and nephews just like him. And that at times I wish someone would have come along and give me a break. She said 'you really do understand'. At least we have something in common to talk about other than the weather. Miles

Miles, I truly believe you are a kind and considerate man. All of us here are blessed to know you. There needs to be more people like you in this world. You've inspired me to be a kinder person today. Thanks..

Nate is going to turn out to be a fine young man because his dad is a good example. How did it turn out?

Well, we never went to the park, but I could see that the young man really needed it. Who knows, she may be a new member some day. Miles

Miles you´ve already proved that you´re a brave man and you´ve shown us your understanding, i admire that so much, it´s nice to have you in here with us, thank you I think the offer was enough; sometime´s it feel´s nice to know that there is some help if we need it, even thou we wouldnt take the offer, but it was a nice thought after all those other´s telling him to "STOP!!!!!" all day

I imagine that was rough for the boy to be confined at mom's work all day. That was a very nice gesture Miles, I'm sure the boy needed an outlet. Like S/A said, you inspire me to try to be nicer today. Take care!
