::)This is mostly a vent. I have 2 sons, A is 4 and R is 8. R is ADHD and on Concerta. A has sensory issue problems and seeks input in the form of deep touch, crashing into the floor, tackle hugs, rough play with toys, etc. My beef is that R is hypersensitive and over reacts big time to the slightest poke or tap from A which then tells A this is a big game and R doesn't ignore so the vicious circle goes on and on. Especially in the car! A is in OT for the SI issues but he definitely starts things at least 1/2 the time. Do all ADHD kids overreact? I wonder if they actually feel pain more? I have tried to tell R to ignore but it seems he can't. Any help would be appreciated even a BTDT. Thanks!

Been there, done that. Yeah, my oldest is hyper-sensitive, and my middle guy seems to be under-sensitive.

:)Very common in my family. GPa and nephew both had an aversion to sock seams. Dd has a problem with clothing lables and "clothes that don't feel good". Dd also is very sensitive to sounds. Mom is "allergic" to certain fabrics. Hypersensitivity very common to us ADHDer's in my family.

My son was hypersensitive for a long time and seemed to grow out of it the older he got.
