I came across this:
QUOTE: Children today are tyrants. They contradict their parents, gobble their food, and tyrannize their teachers. END QUOTE
Guess who said it and when ?
It was Socrates (470-399 B.C.) !!

Oh my Goodness. And to think I always say my mom as mother Theresa......... ;D No, she's not that old, but like you say some things never change. Reminds me of a song, if that's what it is called. I'll have to go find the lyrics. They are pretty inspiring. Thanks for the smile Anne Kaiti

That is so true. My mom always caught me when I was up to no good, and would always tell me that she knew I was doing it because "she was my age once too!" Now, I'm doing the same with Cami. Also, when talking to her the other night about Cami's recent problem at school (the pick, pick, picking the kids are doing) I told her I could remember the same things going on when I was in 6th grade. I had a boy that constantly picked on me, and then you know what? She said she remembered the same about HER 6th grade, and she too had trouble with this one boy that constantly picked! Sooo, no matter what decade (ore century) we are in, kids are the same. It's the age by years that controls them, not the age of time. (Did that make sense? : . Thanks for sharing....

Anne...I think we always had bullys...but the only difference with me was...someone that was "messing with me" ,and I mean consistently, eventually I fought back. The only difference I can see is...I would have been suspended or expelled today, then It was a trip to the principals office and a call home!!
