1968 was a year of the hippie movement, social protest, assassinations, and the Viet Nam war. Can you tell me which poet sold more books of poetry in the United States that year than any other poet?
His poems have been described as "unabashedly sentimental." All the same, as songs, they have been performed by artists as diverse as Frank Sinatra and Oliver.
This poet later went into a major depression. For many years, he wouldn't leave his house. Only recently, the medication prozac has changed his life, and he has overcome his depression.

I thought it might be him. So I started googling.
I found his personal website. "Ask Rod" and "flight plan". Then I took a wild guess.
