Have seen any black artists? Some that I have seen are Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr. and B.B. King. Which was the best? That is so hard to say, they were all so good. Truly immense talents -- all of them.

We've been doing a home project studying the Harlem Rennaissance. Duke Ellington, Langston Hughes, Charlie Parker. So many bright lights. And so many extinguished before their times. And even Harlem wasn't a safe haven at the time. It was just the closest thing to an artistic Mecca for African Americans with a vision.
Now that we've gotten through Ellington's invention of modern jazz, we want to move on to Nat King Cole.
We've had the privilege of seeing Bobby McFerrin live. And the Harlem Dance Company on tour. Now those performances were something no one in the family will forget! And what about the Marsalis brothers? What about Preservation Hall off Bourbon Street?
There's some wonderful and amazing music out there. And it has nothing at all to do with divas and nipple rings. I'm very set on making sure my sprouts know there's something more to the African American contribution to our culture than the infamous Jacksons and the steroid miracles of modern professional athletics.

OK, his mouth might not be the nicest, BUT Eddie Murphy I think is one of the most talented comedians no days. I am thinking of his versality as an actor with his voices and stuff to appeal to children. My kisd love the donkey voice and others that he has done with that.
I crack up when I listen to his stand up comedy. No holds barred busts on everyone.
