This past friday she moved out of state. Her DS and my DS were good friends as well, so we did not have a happy weekend. She was the only parent who really and truely liked my son and never had any problems with him. Other parents like him, but he always had an open welcome to her house anytime he wanted. She said he was the only boy who could come over anytime. I dont know yet if I will miss her more for me, or because she was so accepting of my DS. I hope there is someone else like her in this small town.

awww... I feel so bad for you vickylyn
It must be awful. It somtimes so very difficult and rare to find someone who accepts our children as they are, and mean it fromt the bottom of thier hearts. But remember how lucky you are. Some people never find someone who truly accepts thier child and loves them for them. You and your son were blessed.
Also, now you and your son have somewhere to go on vacation......Now you can go visit your bestfriend and maybe make a tradition of it....think of how much more special these reunions will be for both you and your son...

My best friend is moving out of town this weekend! She didn't go to college until she had been out of high school for a few years. Now, at 28, she is on the last leg of receving her degree in Occupational Therapy, however the only school that offers the degree is a couple of hours away. So she and hubby are packing up the family, 3 kids!, and moving away. She won't be too far away to visit, but it still makes me sad. She is my rock, and now I won't be able to run by her house and spend the evenings when I am feeling down. However, I am VERY proud of the fact that she is finally making her dreams come true. It's been rough, hubby had to get a new job, they had to sell their house and find a new one, she had to find a daycare for the twins (3YO boys). All in 1 month! She didn't find out she was accepted until the first of April and classes start May 10th. I thought we were going to have to put her hubby in the funny farm, the stress was about to make him crack. But they did it! The great thing about TRUE friends is that you know that you'll always be best friends, no matter how far apart life takes you! ;D
