BBW I like tha last one alot.
What I don't understand is HOW in the world some these kids think. Well, then I see the parents and it immediately answers that question..... All in all, the town I live in is Great!!! I grew up here, and talked hubby into sticking around here. He absolutely loves it.
One thing that has been irking me. A friend of ours is very vocal. And I mean very. If it's on his mind, he says it. Kids around, no kids around. I send the kids away because I don't want them hearing certain words or inappropriate subjects and he tells me I'm sheltering them. I've told him point blank, I prefer that my kids don't hear that yet, and if I want to shelter them, then it is my business. I respect that he can say what he wants with his kid around, but my kids don't need to hear things like that at such a young age.
Well, let me get back to my shelter before the sunshines on my kids and they know it's light out
NEXT Kaiti

I agree, Rosy. One promise we made to our children is that whenever they are home, inside of our four walls, we will protect them, and yes, even shelter them from things we feel are not appropriate for them to hear or know about. Are we overprotective? We have been told we are. But, guess what? It doesn't bother us. The world today is filled with many disappointments, disasters, and awful things that our children are subject to the minute they walk out of our home. We do give them the tools to deal with issues, but do we subject them to outside world pressures at home, absolutely not. Call it what you want, say what you want, but our home is our "haven" for our children and us! ;D

I also like your last point BBW ... and I also agree with "home being a safe haven" ... particularly as they grow older and venture more and more into the outside world .... I don't actually (personally) agree with the first point as you may already know if you read my first thread on this topic ... but that is what i like about this place ... we can happily agree to differ ;D ;D
