We all know about the elusive sock monster that's responsible for our "one" sock collection we have ....holding out hope that maybe some day.... the other one will magically reappear so they can be united once again. ;D My question: Is there anything else that you can't seem to hold onto or lose all the time? For me it's sunglasses. I buy at least 5-6 pair a year because I'm forever losing them. My husband bougt me a pair for $50. I told him he should know better than that because I'd lose them...which I did within 3 months

I loose hair bands all the time. Not just the ones you get like 100 for a dollar, I mean the nice ones mad out of material for that added nice look, like coordinating. I think they might be in Tara's room, but if I find anyhting in there, it'll be a miracal. Kaiti ;D last month, before I did our "sock sweep" I had 68 mismatched socks in the clothes basket Somehow or another when the kids overhauled their rooms, we found all but about a dozen

Oh, that would make me so mad!! We only buy sunglasses at the Dollar Tree b/c they are always lost, or the kids break them. I contsantly loose earrings. I mean like almost every pair I wear, I loose. Sometimes it is Avery who looses them b/c we share, but I have no idea where they go?? My washing maching broke last year and I think there were are 12 pairs in the pump! Another item we oly purchase, in bulk, at the Dollar Tree!

If you asked Sam (my 15 year old) what his Mum loses the most he would definitely say "Her mobile (cell net) phone" or "her money because her purse is a mess" ... and I hate to admit it but he has a point ... Most mornings I am saying "Where is my phone?" and Sam sighs (LOUDLY!) and says "Oh NOT again!" and often I am claiming I have LOST money .... when the reality is that it is "hidden" amongst the receipts etc. which accumulate in my purse ... again (heavy sigh!) Sam tells me "You HAVE to sort out that purse ... " OK OK ... I will ... I will !! ...
Ironically I am the one member of my family who does NOT have adhd .... but I am by FAR the worst one for mislaying things!! ... Sam and DH are much better!!

Anne is the prime example of why I DO NOT carry a purse. If I did, mine would be far worse than that! I have enough pockets in my coats to keep me happy ;D And my husband tells me that men don't carry purses an dsuch because they can give it to their wife to hold Kaiti

Kaiti, during the summer I always just leave everything in my car (my swim suits don't have pockets). I got one of those little work ID zip pocket thingy's that you can wear around your neck. I keep my money, license and credit card in there (and my insurance card~ need that more than my license!). It is always under my driver's seat along with the McDonald's wrappers. I haven't owned a pocket book since 1989!
I used to always lose my car keys, until I got my BRIGHT PINK FLY LADY key lanyard. Aside from it clashing with my orange Tony Stewart fleece, I love it!
I also usually lose today's mail before DH gets home to find it. I need to work on that.
But the SOCK MONSTER! DH is convinced there is someone holding the socks hostage. And he won't let go of the mates. We have a extra large laundry basket in the hall way upstairs, filled with misfits! If ever you need socks for puppets, call me!

At least I am not the only one with a big basket in the upstairs closet filled with mismatched socks! But now I have a system , Once a month I empty it out, if there are no matches they turn into farm socks for DH. This time of year with it being so wet he goes through about 6 pairs a day, or should I say 12 socks because he is banned from taking pairs to work!! ;D If they are just too good to ruin, then I'll hang onto them for a while, but most of the time I can't take it! I honestly have one pair of socks that were mismatched for so long that I finally gave them to Honey as junkers, they are that small! I have moved 6 times since I last wore them! I think it is a sickness really......
