At work we have an 8.00 a.m. meeting three days a week ... I normally fly in at around 8.10 a.m. (late!) and join it looking exhausted before the day has even begn!.. This morning however we were all advised to be on time because the "big boss" was joining us ... I dropped Sam off and then raced around to work. Parked the car ... ran up the stairs (it was 8.03 a.m. ... not bad!) ... the meeting had started so I quietly crept across the room to grab a chair (trying to remain inconspicuous!)... The chair happened to have a garbage bin sitting on it ... & somehow ... (why hadn't it been emptied??) ... that garbage bin went flying and all the garbage (oh it was disgusting!) ended up with a loud thud all over the floor !! ... About 12 heads (including big boss) turned around (many with good humoured amusement) and said "GOOD MORNING Anne" !! .... I was meantime to be found scrambling around on the floor trying to put the garbage back into the bin .... I am still CRINGING at the embarrassment of it ... I was able to have a laugh with several of my colleagues about it "after the event" but I am still not sure whether "big boss" saw the funny side!! Had to share this with you guys!!

I think you had a bad case of Brandy-itis. Things like that only happened to me, I thought. Glad to know I'm not alone!

Oh its good to share these things with you ... !! ... Marja I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the idea of the locker ... Oh I am going to look into that one for daysthat start like today !! ;D
Linda ... its funny because from some of your stories and especially recently the wonderful "slipper at the restaurant" story I just KNEW you would relate to this !! ;D ;D
... and JDMom you too can relate! ;D ... but why is it that everyone else in the world seems so terribly 'sensible' at times like this?? ;D ;D

Anne, those sort of things only happen to real people! The big boss probably has never had anything "real" happen to him, because he has always been too busy being politically correct and uptight. He will die with a serious look on his face while we will be beautiful with our laugh lines! Thank you for being real!

Oh Anne, you're not the only one: wanna hear my today boo boo
As you may know I have the SACC program, well, in the past week, we have had a few more students enrolled, and one more today right before I went to work. Any how, The Enriched Learning program was having their Open house to show off all that the kids did.
One mom came to the door and just peeked in. I opened the door and asked her if I could help her find what she needed. She says, " I'm looking for Ashley" I told her we didn't have any Ashley's attending that day, maybe she might be in the gym with the rest of ELP.
The Assistant Director turned around and fell out laughing. I said what? Apparently Ashley that she was looking for was Miss Ashley, one of my SACC teachers.
Well, duh, I could feel myself turning redder by the minute. But her mom looks so young and I was in a kid state of mind.
Tomorrow is another day to blub up again Kaiti ;D

Oh Anne, you poor girl!! Nothing like trying to sneak in quietly and without being noticed! ((Hugs to Anne!!!)) I would like to make you feel better in the embarrassment area... Several years ago, I was in the ladies' room of a crowded restaurant. I put toilet paper on the seat before I sat down, as always. Then I washed up and headed on back to my table. I passed by many diners, who seemed to be looking at me funny, but I kept going. When I got to the table, my friend told me to turn around and look at my backside. There streaming down in full white glory, was a looooonnng stream of toilet paper, coming out from the top of my jeans!!!!!!!!! When people get embarrassed because they have toilet paper on their shoes, I tell them that's nothing!!!! Hope this helps, Anne!!!

oh Aimee!!!! You poor girl!!!! That's GOT to top the list! I have a friend that had the same thing happen to her, so I am always checking myself when wearing a dress, cause of her bad experience. Aimee, thanks for telling us, I think we will all be vigilant dress-wearing gals from now on!!!!!!!!

Well ... its not my week ... This morning I was again found "running" into work ... holding a whole bunch of loose paperwork ... and it was raining ....
I ran up some steps (in the outside grounds) and tripped and fell over grazing my knee ... I was wearing cream coloured trousers which ended up with large black marks on them ... and worse than that what was really badly hurt was my dignity!! ... Papers went flying and got wet and muddy ... People came over to check I was ok and help pick up the papers ...
BUT ... I was to feel much better shortly after arriving in the office when one of my colleagues caught his trousers on the edge of a cabinet and they split ALL the way down the seam!! ... ;D
