For those of you who have been keeping up with my two year old's woes.. he has had a turn for the worse.. Since last Thursday the big D has hit him with a vengance. Took him to our family doctor yesterday and he thinks it is not a virus but a worsening of the possible diet related problems.. The poor little guy has lost 3 pounds this week after having gained one in the last month.. So we are back to trying to get him to eat and gain again.. he is refusing the OTC anti D meds I snuck some into his water last night.. and he actually drank it.. we will see if it helps. So far any of it I have gotten into him seems to not help one bit. This morning I am armed with my special lactose free homemade yogurt.. I'll mix it up with some bananas and some honey or a little sugar and see what he thinks of it. Thank you all for your inquiries and well wishes so far on his behalf! Denise

Oh Denise, I'm so sorry to hear this. I know that you have done absolutely everything to determine what is going on with your little boy. Did you ever get the dr to listen to you and do a blood test like you wanted? When my ds8 was 2 he got the rotavirus at day care and the diarrhea/vomiting was horrible. He had to be hospitalized for 4 days to be rehydrated by IV. You have been going through it longer than that and my heart goes out to you. Extra hugs to you and your sweet boy. Keep us posted.

Poor little guy.. Good luck getting any medicine into him. I don't know what his diet restrictions are, but if either of my kids even look at hard cheese the wrong way they are all stopped up. Hope he starts feeling better soon, and you too!! Becky
