Hi I feel sad  Last night there was an really bad road-accident in my country, about 150km from where I live. For now there is 24 dead and 14 injured, 4 of them extremly bad the worst thing is that they were almost all under 25, youngest were only 13y, they were on their way to ski on lappland, when their bus collapsed with a heavy truck This has become the worst ever road accident in here. Even though it didn´t happend to anyone I know, it´s so sad and threadfull (My hubby is a busdriver, so it totally freaked me out!) I can only pray for those family´s, but the same time I feel bad thinking "Thank god there wasn´t one of mine" Marja |

Oh Marja, that is awful and I know how you feel. We'll have to keep all the victoms and thier families in our prayers.

Oh Marja that is so tragic ... and being so close to home I can really imagine how shaken you must be ...
My thoughts are prayers go out to all those killed and to their friends and families and to all of you who have been affected by this ...

My son and I had a difficult drive home last night as well. We knew we shouldn't go, but the weather looked OK in the city. Once on the highway, we couldn't see and couldn't turn around. There were cars in the ditch, tow trucks, accidents, semitrailors stopped, cars stopped in big line-ups. lights flashing. It was aweful. We had to go real slow. But we made it home (17 miles). At least it wasn't too cold. There have been quite a few people killed around our city this year from vehicle accidents. Sometimes there is no collision -- they just go into the ditch, roll and break their necks. So my son gets lots of speeches from me on safe driving.

Barry! I´am clad you made it!!! SAVE DRIVING AND SEATBELT´S that´s my line too! always when suitable, I remind kid´s of save journey´s! The hard part is that you can only take care of your own driving, accident´s do happend, there is no way to prevent other´s mistake´s or just plain bad luck  that´s so sad. As I said, we´ve had very few sencier traffic-accident´s in here, none with so high bodycount, so this really has slowed us down. Thank you of your kindness everyone! Marja |

Marja, I'm so sorry you had to be affected by this tragedy. I know how shaken up you are, and I send you a big comforting cyber {{{{{{hug}}}}}}. I can totally understand you being real upset although you knew known of the victims. Remember earlier this year when I posted about the girl killed in front of where I work. I didn't know this girl at all but was deeply affected by her death. It's esp. hard when it's kids involved. There life is ended before it really begins. Take care of yourself girl, and take comfort in your own little ones.
My thought and prayers are with the families of those affected (both directly and indirectly). God bless...

Camismom and other´s  Even that it´s so sad, I think there is at least one positive thing in this; it show´s that we still have the ability to feel sorry for other´s, be human, get thouched by someone´s other´s accident/need/sorrow. In today´s world, where so many people seem to think only themself´s, this really is like a light in the end of the tunnel, dont you think? But I already knew this, I´ve been here long enough to know that this world is full of kind, human and caring person´s! Like you all! Take care, everyone! Marja |

Oh Marja, honey, I'm so sorry that you had this experience and am so sorry for the victims and their families. I think I should move to Finland, though. In Miami, FL. we have so many car accident deaths, that our streets are filled with memorial markers for those who have died. It is quite disturbing. We are on the list for one of the worst cities for bad drivers (except me, I'm not on the list ) |

Amsmom thank you! The same happend´s in here too. people drive like there is noone else on the road, and accident´s happend as far as I know, there was no "quilty"-part in this, it seem´s to be slippery, icy road with some totally bad luck It make´s me so sad! Marja |
