Well, she is back in the hospital today. Since going home from the last visit (Saturday before last) she has STAYED sick. She can't keep anything down and is very weak. She spent Thursday at her "regular" doctor's office getting an IV for dehydration and a presc. of Phenigren (a med for nausea). So, yesterday, after receivign a call from her doc to check on her and findinf out she wasn't any better, he sent her to the ER. She is still there over 24 hours later. Apparently she had what they call a "silent attack", and they have her hooked up to more monitors than you can count. Tubes coming out from everywhere. They wanted to put her in ICU but there weren't any bed available, so since they want to keep her monitored they kept her in ER all day and over night. We are waiting on word now from her heart doctor as to what they're going to do next. This stuff is just never ending....

{{{Christy and her Mom }}}}} ... As everyone else says we are so much with you and your family .... I don't know that this is helpful at all but my father was so very ill for some time before his death a few years ago ... and although the sadness when he died was devastating there was a huge amount of relief that at least he was no longer suffering...
I just wish you, your Mom and your family the "right" outcome ... whatever that may be....

Thank you all so much for the kind words, hugs, thoughts, and prayers! You all are the greatest bunch! And I'm having a ball seeing the pics and putting faces with names. AnneM, you are quite an attractive lady! And the comment you made about feeling devestated yet relief when your father passed away is exactly how I think I will feel when mom's time comes. She stays so miserable now ALL THE TIME, that although I know I will miss her, I will also feel relief for her in knowing she is no longer sick, hurting, etc. and she is finally happy. Well, she went home from the hospital today, after quite a confusing week. She had an apparent "silent" heart attack the first day there. She was extremely dehydrated, and was found to be bleeding from somewhere inside. She went thru several tests, was given ivs, and blood. At first her heart doctor said it wasn't her heart, her regular doctor said it was her kidneys, and her kidney doctor said it was a virus! Anyway, I think they all eventually decided it was the new dialysis she is on that is making her so sick, and the bleeding was because she had gotten so dehydrated. She seems to be better for now. We'll see. Just keep her in your prayers.
