Everyone here is soo great. Jake and his little "stay overnight friend" thought is was neat to see his name posted! He had a great birthday and got a gasp...new bike! His first bike that was not a handmedown. All the guys at the bike store made a big deal out of the birthday bike. He just grinned ear to ear all weekend! ;D and was out riding his bike in 20 degree weather!

Quite a fun Birthday I see. Adding to Linda's helmet rule Don't ride in the middle of the road. AND be very careful to steer properly. Kaiti oh, and if there is more than one person on the bike at a time, when you fall, it is double the weight. and hurts. I speak from experience

-Don't ride off a curb that's too tall -Walk our bike across the street -Ride with traffic, not against it -Don't ride down inclines that lead to a road. a friend of mine did that when we were little and got hit by a car. He faired with a broken leg, but it was broke pretty good. -learn the hand signals for turning, (I've actually used them when our truck blinker was on the fritz AND I see guys on motorcycles to it all the time. left arm straight out-turning left left arm up at a 90 degree angle -right turn left arm dowm at a 90 degree angle- stopping Sorry Jorgy, Don't want to step on toes, But don't worry, if kids goof around here, I let their parents know about it. Kaiti

and remember that if you ride down a loooooong hill to use your brakes and go slow. I did not and broke out my front tooth. I now have a fake one, and all the dentist work hurt. Not to mention the cost to my mom and dad.

you guys are too much!!! ;D Mom also says no helmet, no bike!! Unfortunantly the weather here has been so wierd he hasn't been able to be out much on it. It takes a village to raise a child and in Jake's case maybe 2 villages!! Sue
