Know of Any publishers?

Hi everyone,

I have written a short book about my son's experiences through grade school. The point was to show all how it feels to be the one left out & bullied. It would be a useful tool for counselors, training teachers & students alike. I have shown it to special ed teachers & they love it & definitely could use it.

I have been sending it out for about a year now & cannot find a publisher that will handle it.
I have researched on the web & in the periodicals for ADHD.

So I am asking you, the great people on this forum for assistance in trying to locate a publisher.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Just a suggestion Lauries!

Have you thought about handling it yourself? There are companies out there that will publish,"family" books, and things like that. It may cost you a bit. But maybe you could have some type of fund raiser between all the people you've showed it to.. Then once you get it off and running, you could show the "publishers" what they've missed and then maybe one will pick you up?!!! Don't know if it would work or not, but it's probably worth a shot!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have looked into the self-publishing on-line. It definitely does cost some bucks.
I have just sent an e-mail to the Oprah Winfrey show & plan to send her a copy.
Not only do I want to get my book published but I think the topic of ADHD would do well in a forum such as her show. I have also included this site in my letter to her so she can visit us & check it our for herself.

I have already sent to woodbine house, but the rest will be on my list. I will research them first because some request to be the sole recipient of a manuscript.
