I use yahoo for my email. The other day I got an email from the staff at yahoo telling me that my email account would be closed in 3 days because i was improperly using it.It said to open the attachment to find out how to save it.When I scanned the attachment it had a virus.I guess it wasn't really from yahoo.I just wanted to warn everyone.

Yes, we always try to avoid opening attachments, even if they seem to be coming from a legitimate place.

Thanks Brenda for pointing this out ... At work recently in particular I have been getting a lot of mail from people I have honestly NEVER heard of ... with subjects like "For you.. " etc. I have deleted them without reading but from what i understand the "virus" problem is HUGE worldwide right now ... and it is essential to have anti-virus software !

There was one that went around the school this past week, the librarian told me that if it had on of the staff names-like we get when using it in the network-then the "@" and the school, it was a virus. Still trying to firure the e-mail around over there, and it's been 5 years since we've had it. I'll figure it out when they go to change it again Kaiti
