WHAT YOU ALL MEAN TO ME

I want everyone to know what you mean to me.

Yesterday, I had a horrible day, I cried all day long. I fought with the middle school, I had a little guy home sick, and after school (which was an early dismissal day) my boys got into a physical fight with each other. That fight included locking someone in the basement and led to choking and threats with garden tools. One guy got soaked with a water gun even though it was snowing outside.

I posted my frustrations in the middle of someone's thread. Within a few minutes I had several IM's and several direct off forum e-mails sent to me. One of you, Kaiti, even offered to make the 2 hour drive to my house to comfort me since DH is away on business.

I needed all of you. Everyone of you held me together last night when my migraine took over, I lost control and actually kicked my son's derrierre. (never kick a skinny kid with bare feet~ it leaves bruises on your foot!)

I sent them all to their rooms early with the understanding they could keep their lights on until regular bed time. I brought a tub of raw cookie dough and cuddle up with 1mom's book to comfort me.

I told them lights out and slept until almost 10 this morning. They got up and the two went to school. My homeschooler made me breakfast in bed.

They are still grounded... but YOU!

You girls and guys are my heroes. When I needed you, you were all here for me. A heart felt thank you to all, and I hope you never need the love and concerned returned, but you can count on me to help you through if you ever need me.

I´am sorry you had such a hard night, I´am also sorry that I seem to be late on this due the time-difference

You, as we all, are allowed to loose it sometime´s, it feel´s like H¤¤L afterward´s, but that´s just living and being a parent for you. Saddly thing´s usually pile up when you least ecsept them to .

Laurie, I hope your day has been better. I can't even imagine doing this with the hubby gone! You and everyone else has been there for me and I will be here for you and everyone here. When Luke died you and everyone on this site kept me grounded. Bless you all, Sue

Today has been much better. We had a relaxing afternoon, went to karate class, stopped for dinner at Burger King, picked up a new portable CD player for the boys, and then took Patrick to Boy Scouts. I left the other two home, and they actually worked on homework well, all by themselves!

It is silly really, when I think about it. That I let things get to me yesterday.

A few years ago, when I was in the bottom of a bad depression, someone told me that if we take our troubles, throw them in a pile with everyone elses', and then had to dig through the pile and pull out something to take with us... when we see what other troubles there are, we would gladly take our own back.

How true that is. A letter came home from school today. The PTA is collecting donations for the family of a first grader who is terminally ill. Mom is single, and had to take time off from her job at Walmart to be with her daughter, who is in intensive care. She has no sick time at her job, so she has no income right now.

so what if my boys are full of energy, they are also full of life. Sue, I think of you and Luke so often, and I pray that you are still doing coping. I wanted to be there and help you through, and yet when I was feeling so low yesterday, I forgot my blessings.

Today has been a very reflective day. I guess that God had a good reason for me to feel like that. I have hope that it was just one bad day, and not the beginning of more depression. I really do feel good today. And I thank you all for that.
