Why does mac & cheese taste sooooo much better when you cook it on the stove than when you nuke it in the microwave? (and yes, both kinds were Kraft - I won't eat anything else...not even homemade)

B/c the kind on the stove has real milk and butter in it. The kind you put into the microwave is the "just add water" kind. The butter and milk are dehydrated.
IMHO nuking it makes it rubbery.

EasyMac is just plain evil. Will not touch.  Icky Icky. This is the same kind that comes in the nice box and that you add milk and water to. No "just add water". Bah. |

I make ours with velvetta if I can help it, would you eat it fron scratch then? ;D
I have gotten my husband eating things he says he'd never eat, I bet you would.

any mac and cheese (except microwave) I love. I could eat it all the time. I have had it made with chedar cheese, velveta, and even with cheese soup. I have not yet had a kind I dont like. My DD is the same way. The men in the family however dont like homemade. Maybe I should try them with the velveeta. DH loves that kind of cheese.

just make a rue and add the cheese, just like normal, EXCEPT, you don't need as much cheese, unless you like it REALLY cheesy ..

OK, UM, When I find an almost recipie that Ithink you will like, I'll let you know.
Right now, we are trying to figure out if a realtor is coming to show our house or not. Stupid s t u f f .
Sorry, very aggravating, if it offends, goahead and modify, but land lord told us on Monday that the realtor will call for Fri,Sat or Sun, haven't heard a word
