My son lights candles in the dark And each reveals in part The little things not seen or heard That lie within my heart One candle lights a corner which I'd thought indeed was bare Illuminating some small deed I'd left forgotten there Another candle brings to light Some incidental word So unimportant in itself I thought it went unheard But when repeated back to me It brings a special glow As I become acquainted with The self I did not know My son lights candles in my heart Which make life bright for me As in there glow I catch a glimpse Of a more worthy me

I only wish I could write this well. I couldn't find the authors name anywhere. Guess I should have mentioned that earlier. All the compliments were so nice too. Oh well, maybe one day I can write that well.
