does anyone know how to go about testing on a child that is 18 years old? and do they have to go through all the paper work.

Hi Tinkerbell!! My suggestion is that you leave this thread here but ALSO place it in the "adult section" because at 18 years old I would assume the testing will be "adult testing" and hopefully many of our adult adhd'ers will have some good answers on this!
I hope so anyway ... (unfortunately I can't be much help personally because I have a 15 year old diagnosed at 13 .... AND we are in the UK which also makes a difference on the paperwork you mention....)

I'm not sure. I would contact their doctor. Are they still in school? I'm not sure about the paperwork involved, usually the doctor has the school and the parent fill out questionnaires.
