*shakes her head*
I don't get it. The doctor at student health services told me that I have a viral infection, then wrote a script for Amoxicillin and Allegra D.
Hopefully this crap will start clearing up, I'm getting tired of coughing and I can't work since I can't talk.

Sometimes they give antibiotics to prevent the viral infection from going into a bacterial infection. Have you been sick for more than 10 days or so? If so, this could be the case.

Well...I had a viral throat infection about 2 weeks ago that I thought had gone away, but I've still been tired most of the time.

I was wondering about the mono also; a friend of mine just found out he has it.

Mono is evil.
No, they haven't tested me for it this time.
However, I got lots of stuff in my room semi-organized (I need more places to put stuff), got several patterns cut out, my marketing homework done, and my stuff for school organized today.

*ponders* That's it! I don't have ADD, I just have a bacterial infection that they've never managed to make go away. In any case, I don't sound quite like I'm hacking up a lung anymore and I can talk, but still not long enough to go back to work. Hopefully I can go on Tuesday. Sudafed and long hot showers are both our friends.

Honey has had antibiotics for a cough that he just could not shake, but it took 3 months of going to the walk in clinic and getting the story about virus' and antibiotics until I refused to leave the clinic w/o a perscription for something. About 3 days later he started to get better. I think sometimes the doctors just don't exactly know what is wrong so they want to treat as best they can. Clairtin-D is for the congestion. It works the same as benedryl but you shouldn't get tired from it.
I had mono about 5 1/2 years ago...it was awful. I slept everynight from 8PM-12noon. Then I'd get up for about 4 hours and need a nap! It took me months to feel rested. I guess it didn't help that I found out I was pregnant with Honey about 2 weeks after I got it so I don't think that helped. I was dead to the world when I had mono.

Yay! I can breathe without coughing again. I can even talk without coughing most of the time. Crunchy foods still make me start coughing, so no chips and salsa for me yet. *pouts*
In any case, I seem to be getting much better. *dances* Still taking Sudafed and the amoxicillin until it's gone. Need to get more cough drops before I go to work tonight.
