Hi Jorgy- thank you for leading me to that site! I go to school every day with my 5 year-old-son to try to help him stay on task. He was only diagnosed with ADHD 3 weeks ago so we are still in the developmental stages of getting him the help he needs in class and he has not been put on medication as of yet. In the past 3 months that I have been attending school with him, I have struggled to understand how he can get distracted so easily and why he has such a hard time following what seems like simple instructions. There are no words to describe the emotion that came over me once I tried those activities. That is what it must feel like to be in his shoes and now I understand much better what my precious little boy has to deal with. Thank you for pointing this site out to me- I will be sending it on to many of my family members who have struggled to understand ADHD as well. Thank you.

I'm late on this, but just wanted to add my two cents worth...Check out the interactive activities on this page of the site: www.pbs.org/wgbh/misunderstoodminds/attention.html. It's under "Experience Firsthand". What a great thing to share with someone who "just doesn't get it".
