those alphabet-abbreviations make me nuts, too. one of those things that circulate aroudn the edges of your brain until you're about to go mad!
the " D" in front stands for " Dear" (athough depending on the mood, it often stands for a negative adjective!)
"H" (as in DH) is ' my dear husband says..."
" DD": dear daughter, " DS" dear son, "SS" stepson,
"SAHM" stay at home mom, "BD" bio. daughter, and "XH" ex-husband.
