The reason you see x's is because I uploaded over my 5.0 MB limit of uploads in a 24 hour period. When I save someones's picture and edit it on my computer, I have to upload it to my ripway account. Once I have exceeded my limit, it disables the pictures, and anything else I have on my account...including the 'stars' under my name and the Moderator's names. The last picture I edited was around 7pm last night. By 7pm tonight they should be here again. I don't know why they do that, I think I might find another 'Web Host" with a larger storage capacity. I didn't want anyone to think there could be something wrong with their computer, or the web site. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

I'm not sure why the red x, but in my experience this is what caused mine.
If you are using Ripway, you only have 5mb of transfer bandwidth a day. If your picture is huge it will can only be viewed (transfered) a couple of times before you have used all the bandwidth.
You can check my theory by logging into Ripway and going to the "My Account" screen. It will tell you how much bandwidth you have used in a 24 hour period. You may be over the limit.
If I'm right, you can then make your picture smaller by editing it in your photo software and changing the size. Usually this is done by going to image on the tool bar and then resizing it. Save it with the same file name.
Then put the smaller picture in place of the bigger one on Ripway. When you load it, it will overwrite the old one (same file name). That way you won't have to redo any of the links to the picture.
You will still have to wait out the 24 hour period, but once it's over you shouldn't have anymore problems.
Good luck.
