;)My son Jared is l0 yrs. old he can be real moody on meds and off. He is taking concerta. He is always struck on one subject and won't let go. He throw tantrums if he doesn't get his way. He is real mean to his 6 yr. old brother. He is getting allergy shots and the nurse is no longer there. He threw a fit in the office wanted the other nurse. We go today and I dread it. Any suggestions, would help.

 The first thing that struck me was "is Concerta the right med for him?" ... &/or is there very possibly some OCD or autism/aspergers present (i.e. always stuck on one subject) ... also the real moodiness you mention and remembering that Concerta in NO WAY stabilizes the mood ... and in fact if there is a mood disorder present can make things WORSE rather than BETTER !! I really think you maybe need to insist upon some further investigation .... KEEP US POSTED and GOOD LUCK!!

I agree with Anne. There could be something more going on and perhaps a little more investigation may be required.
