we had an employee from another radio station come in the other day and i gave her a tour of the station, i have done this several times before and its all automatic for me, well i got bored and was busy thinking about other things so as usuall my brain came unhinged as i like to call it ( it unhooks from the docks and sails away) and while i was busy with my own work, i gave her a tour. a complete tour..... like really really complete. keep in mind she works in sales, and has no knowledge of radio equipment or anything, well as it turns out i showed and told her about the transmitters, in detail, including watts, range comparable analagus examples and so on, which was not bad i am sure it bored the tears out of her, and i didnt care to explain it cause techjnically i wasnt there. but the bad part was when i gave her a tour of the kitchen, and folks when i say a detailed tour, i mean detailed. i told her about our fridge and that it keeps food and drinks cold, and how it works, and even what kinds of foods we keep in there..... i snapped back just in time to here me start to explain what a soda machine was and the joys of having one, in so much that you can get drinks from it if you have money.........i appoligized to her and tried to explain that i was trying to make her feel stupid and all, she was real nice about it though

Oh, Daniel! Thanks for the uplifting story! Your slogan under the avatar says, "change the rules!" I guess you definitely did that in the tour department! I actually went back to re~read this and make sure it was an adult you were talking to! It sounds like something I used to do with the Boy Scouts touring the ambulance... "we have 6 tires on the truck, and they all need to have air for the truck to drive straight. The siren makes a loud noise, and gets cars out of our way. The lights make it easier to see at night." Anyway, thanks for the chuckle. Been there, done that...
