Do you have a little literal thinker at home? Especially if they are younger and are just getting a grasp on our complex english language. This morning we were driving to school and my son told me "hey, there is my teacher's name. I made the casual comment that her name is 'everywhere'...., he said no dad, her name is Mrs K. Silly me miles

I just love the litteral thinkers, they keep me on my toes at work. It is rather funny though. At our program we call the kids in pre-k thru second little guys and the 3rd grade and up Big guys. One of the "little guys" got upset on the first day of school:I'M A BIG KID NOT A LITTLE KID, I'M IN SCHOOL NOW. Poor kid was almost in tears until we explained it to him.

My oldest was a "little guy" about 3 when we were in a McDonald's having lunch. A man came in using a wheel chair, pulling it by shuffling his feet.
Michael asked, "Why does he use a wheel chair?" Of course, I told him it was because the man's knees didn't work.
With hands on both hips, and that "how dumb do you think I am" look. Michael said,
"If his knees didn't work, his feet would have fallen off!"

This remind´s me of the "little pots with big ear´s" (meaning; be carefull, kid´s will pick up every word you use ) How on earth can they remeber the exact word´s you used time ago, and not to remember to put the proper clothe´s on
