This morning DS7 asked why his cereal was in a plastic container instead of a cereal box. DH explained that it's to keep ants out and began started teasing DD3: "Don't you want ants in your cereal?" But when she protested, "Noooo!" he felt bad and said "I'm sorry; I was only teasing." Then she finished her protest, "I want ladybugs."

How cute. I love the cute things kids say. They always put a smile on my face. Thanks for sharing.

That's too cute, I would prefer ladybugs as well BUT ANTS HAVE GOTTEN INTO OUR PLASTIC CONTAINERS. Yeah, someone just shoves it back in the cupboard with out closing the top

Actually, my mother had one really wet summer when her home became infested with ladybugs! It was NOT fun. When you get a group of them, they have the most terrible odor! We had to call an exterminator!

hehehe.
One time, my family was sitting around the breakfast table, I'm eating, my dad is reading the newspaper, and my sister (7) was looking at the back of a cereal box. I can't remember the name of the cereal now, but it was a family of little monsters. My sister was going through each monster saying, "this one is Mom, this one is dad, this one is me (the pretty one, of course), and (pointing to the ugly, goofy monster) this one is Paige (my 4-year-old sister).
Paige goes "I wanna see!" then takes one look, and bursts out with an enormous scream, and starts crying hysterically...through gasping sobs manages to say..."She said I'm the ugly monster! It's ugly....IT'S UGLIER THAN DAD!!!!!!!"
;D ;D
The look on my dad's face was priceless. He just lowered his paper and sort of raised his eyebrows. Funny thing is...he's really a handsome man. .
