Does anyone else get "sidtracked" from something they are doing? I don't have adhd, I sure have a problem w/this, my mom is the same way Here's an examlpe: I work at a bakery I'm doing my work~the oven goes off~~time to take the bread out~~oh theres a customer at the counter~ok now the phones ringing ~ I answer and ask them to hold please ~ok now back the customer at the counter~now back to what I was originally doing~ oops I forgot about the customer on hold, they got tired of waiting and hung up OOOPS ~ oh yeah the bread in the oven~~ it's quite burnt by now. Time to get some more out and hope I don't burn this batch. There's more it happens every day hubby teases me all the time.

You know... I was going to answer this earlier today, but then the phone rang, and the mail came, and then I had to see my doctor, and then set up physical therapy. DH called so I had to go hunt for the stuff he needed, and then laundry, ... I need to figure out something for dinner, but first I think I'll go to the pharmacy for cocoa butter cream, but the kids asked me to play a video game with them first. I'll do that after I feed the cat. Oh, yeah, ummm, back to your question. YUP! I get side tracked all the time!

Sidetracked is the polite word for what I do all day long.
Has anyone else become a master in the fine art of tapdancing to divert attention away from the fact that you were 'sidetracked' a 'few' times? Ewwww.
When I was younger, I went to colle.....
<1 hour later>
ok, where was I? I spent an hour on the phone, cleaned my kitchen and bathroom, made breakfast, and just realized the computer is still on.

I get sidetracked so much that I kind of go full circle. I have a retail store with many interruptions. I am always wondering where I was, if anywhere. Sometimes, I just have to sit and wait until an idea comes to me about what I should do or where I was. But as they say, "A merchant without a smile should not have a shop!"

Side tracked? You mean people have agendas? Well, I was starting laundry, but had to stop because I didn't have enough room on the table, so I had to start dishes, but with the washer going I couldn't put any rinse water in yet, so I am now waiting for the washer to finish so that I can carry on with the rest of my day. ;D Nope, still not done, I think there is a kink in the hose somewhere, but Mike SAID he'd look at it (2 months ago :

He did laundry 1 time, about 2 months ago as a matter of fact. Did a good job too, except he threw everything in the dryer. I lost a coupl eof sweaters, but didn't say a word, figuring it would discourage him from doin it in the future. I shoulda said something. He doesn't care, so I don't either. He has 3 pairs of jeans, if they don't make it into the hamper, I have finally stop hunting them down. He just has to figure out wheich one is least dirty that's all. And btw, I was on stick from dishes yesterday, and some how ALL of the knives got dirty, a bowl broke, and all the spoons were used. HMMMMMM the kids just informed me of it all.....like I didn't see it I told them that's nice, and just turned around to finish typing this. Do you think either one of them pops up and says "I"LL DO THE DISHES FOR YOU MOM!" Yeah, when pigs fly. So they'll just suffer a little more, like, maybe through dinner, that wouldn't be too fun having to eat say, Spegetti, with their fingers Don't put it past me though ;D
