???I have been struggling with Jared since age 7. Been to three different psychiatrics. I hoping to get him into AKron Childrens's Hospital for an evaluation can't see anyone until November. He is really getting out of hand. Tried drowning his six yr. old brother. He is never at fault. I feel he definitely has ODD or bipolar or something. Don't know if I need to find a neurologist or another psychiatric. He has only been tested on a computer when he was 7 yrs. old saying he had ADHD> I am losing my mind. I live near Youngstown, Ohio I need to find a doctor quit. He cries if he doesn't get his way and he is making everyone miserable. Help!

Call your emergency room and explain what you have just told us. They should have some answers for you. If he is trying to harm his brother he needs help NOW!!!

:-XPJD, I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. I definately think a pediatric nuerologist is in order. Can I ask who administered the computer test? We had an evaluation in which Mikey's teacher, me, the school psych, hearing specialist, and the doctor's office filled out separate forms to determine what was what at the time. For right now, just pick your battles and be firm with what you do as far as disipline.....don't be wishy washy. That's where he'll try your patience the most. Although I know preaching to the choir doesn't do alot of good, but look in the behavior section for ideas that might help. Good luck and I'll keep you in mind  Kaiti |

pjd i agree with linda, please call the childrens hospital ER and tell them what is going on. if they dont tell you to come in right away, try another hospital. your ds may not be able to control his actions and he needs to be seen right away. please let us know if you can get someone to listen. |

PJD ... ditto to what the others have already said ... and .. In the same way as we are told constantly to always take a suicide statement of intent seriously we also need to take any statement of a 'threat to others' equally seriously ... |

PJD- I echo the others, please call a hospital... Can his pediatrician get him in quick? Maybe the pediatrician can have more pull, and get your son help quick whether that be a psychiatrist or hospital... Or maybe a crisis center of some sort? and of course DONT LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE TOGETHER... I know the fear you are living, have done it myself with my kids...
