anyone ever heard of this test for adhd? something about child following directions on a computor... sorry so short i broke my right wrist and typing isa pain...

So sorry to hear that you broke your wrist catseye. How did that happen? I imagine "cpt" stands for computer. I have heard of diagnosis and treatment of ADHD by computer but I don't know much about it or how successful that it is. I would think that it is still experimental.

One week from today we FINALLY start hopefully getting some answers... Sd's actuall cpt test isnt until the 20th though... The 13 dh, myself and his ex (if we can find her LONG story!) are going to give the history information... AND THE 21st, we hopefully will have some answers!! I am very excited, but quite upset with my dh's ex right now was not the time to bail...  cat |

i did some looking and i found a copy of the cpt test, its continious performance test, if i have the right one. i started takeing it yesterday but i didnt have enough time so i stopped the program and figured i would take it later. its a dos based program about 47kb and so far from what i have seen it flashes numbers on the screen and your supposed to do something when you see a certain number in my case it was a 6 but i was doing something else when i was readin g the instruction and dont remember what i was supposed to do. i think it said hit any key or something.

OH WOW!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!   It helps knowing what sd is probably going to be doing, during her test... Eases my mind a bit, as she is so far behind educationally, I didnt want it to be something she wouldnt be capable of... What you descibe though she certainly can do that... cat |
