I posted a couple weeks ago,about my 4 year old son,who I truly beleive has Adhd,Add
I seen alot of his symptoms in myself and took the online Add test for adults,I scored a 48,25 and over was Add
I am kind of releived to find out I am not just a lazy,dis-organized peron,but now very nervous to go the Dr.
My mind freezes when it comes to talking about my past and things going on now,I have been trying to keep notes,it has only taken 3 days to remember to right them done,hopefully I will remember the note to take with me,Lol
What can I expect from the Dr. visit,I was surprised to find out this family doctor can test you,I am not sure what kind of testing is done for me or my son,I truly am afraid of taking meds,I have been put on every anti depresent since I was 12 years old,I am now 34,none ever helped me much.

Welcome! I would carefully choose your doctor as many docs will prescribe meds that can make your depression worse. For that reason, please consider a psychiatrist who specializes in ADHD and is willing to help you find natural alternatives . I agree songwriter, finding a doc you can realy on is very important. In here, it take´s a neurologist´s+pshychologist evaluation before they dx adhd. So I would recommend neurologist/pshychologist to do the first eval.
