I got a call from psych office today. The therapist we had been seeing and really liked is quitting. They also found out the insurance we have isn't going to pay to see the psych we were supposed to see on May 12th. So I had to reschedule for July 20th.  I'm beginning to wonder if we'll ever get a dx. The good news is that the therapist got a chance to talk to some of the other therapists about the situation with XH. She told me that they all said that if I came in and said I wanted her put on meds and he didn't that the psych wouldn't argue about it. He would give me the prescription and tell us to work it out.  I have worried way to much about all this. I just wanted to share. |

Aimee Seem´s like every coin really has two different sice  Good to hear about the support you got from your therapist on med-issue´s  . Sorry about the therapist quitting and insurance-problem´s  I hope this work´s out for you somehow, good luck! Marja |

oh aimee! Another two months! Grrrrr, that must be maddening for you. Just stay strong and remember you made it this far! As far as your ex goes, whether you have full custody or joint, you are the custodial parent (as I am with my dd). This means she lives with you, you are primary caretaker, therefore you have final say-so. That's the way it is in my state anyway. I'll keep praying for ya! |

Oh Aimee,
I'm really glad that it's going to work out with the XH/psychologist situation. You know i understand how much harder things are when the x causes additional problems. Thank goodness for one less thing to worry about!!
Sorry to hear about changing psychiatrists, what a pain, but maybe he/she will be really great!

My DD just came in and asked me when she gets to see Miss Kathy (therapist) again. I told DD about Kathy calling today and how she was quitting and we wouldn't be seeing her anymore. She started bawling!  She couldn't understand why she would want to quit and leave her. I hope she likes the new therapist as much! Wish us luck! |

Aimee, change is just so dang hard for these kids... I hope you get a good replacement therapist, and hugs to your daughter... My sd's quit recently also, but heck I dont even think sd really noticed other than the name change..  |

Aimee, Sorry you have to wait. I know it is hard. I scheduled Brenna at a clinic back in Feb. and our first visit is not until May 24th. Ugh! I keep hoping and praying nothing happens to bump that appt. Good Luck!
