As I think I said in my recent vent, My sd failed her vision screening at school... Last night we went to the eye dr, as recommended by the school...
First sd walks in and starts picking out glasses? I keep telling her we dont KNOW if you need them yet! ARGH! LOL Then she picks up a pair, and says these look like sarah's... hmmm me suspicious already!!
Anyway we get in the dr's room, and sd reads the letters, but I did notice that she was not reading them in the normal order (left to right), and would skip over a few letters... I am wondering if that is why she failed the school test? Maybe they were to particular, and heaven forbid deviate from the plan...
I mean the kid writes the word "no", she writes the "o" first then goes back and writes the "n" before the o... Technically correct, just a bit different ya know...
Anyway the dr was very nice about it, and said it was obvious she is seeing the letters... WHEW... Thank goodness he wasnt so closed minded as to think there is only one way to take the test! LOL

catseye, I'm glad that yours wasn't serious either. At least your daughter wasn't faking it like mine was. LOL
And at least your doctor didn't try to get you to get glasses anyway.
Anyway, that is really good news. With everything else they have to put up with, glasses would just add to it.

Katie needs glasses only for reading. The first eye doctor prescribed glasses that got eaten by wolves or something, because they disappeared very quickly. The second eye doctor told me to go to Target and get reading glasses there. Now when the glasses get eaten by wolves I only have to pay $5.99 so she can read her history book.

Cat, I'm glad she didn't need glasses and that worry is off your back, BUT, to add another one (PLEASE DON'T HATE ME ;D), if she is reading and writing backwards, she may need to be checked for dyslexia.
