 How can I tell if my 4 year old has ADHD? Read his symptoms and tell me what you think!! - has been EXTREMELY active and demanding since infancy - is only still when watching tv - uncooperative most of the time - does not stop inappropriate behavior when spoken to - moves from one inapprpriatr behavior to another (things he knows not to do) - in trouble MOST of the time - in trouble every day at preschool -sometimes aggressive I know that he is young, so how can I tell the difference between typical behaviors and ADHD?

I would let a doctor decide ... sometimes it is normal behavior and sometimes it is adhd. If in doubt go to the pro's. Consider it this way if he isn't you are going to get good common sense help from dr..if he is adhd the doctor will have more time before kindergarten to help him adjust.

 I would also let the doctor decide. If you are thinking he is ADHD he probably does...but check it out.

i agree, let the dr. decide. then you can get started on counseling or meds before school.
every one of our kids is different so only a dr. will know.

Ka, sure sounds like my 3yo  h'se not diag. yet although there has been talk about it from pre-k teachers.... my 3 yo is nothing like my 9yo who is adhd its had to tell... sorry I dont have the anwsers you are looking for but I sure can relate....  |
