My name is Rainy I live with Brock my S/O and my two children Maxwell 5y/o son and Madelon 4 y/o daughter. Max my sweet son,was diagnosed with ADHD in August. My life with him has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride. He is wired for maximum volume and speed. He always has been from day 1. We currently have him (after much trial and error) on 5mg of ritilin in the morning and 5mg at lunch time. My darling girl Madelon is not ADD or ADHD. She is a sweet stubborn girl with amazing charm. She has in the past been terrified of her brother, he can be violent as well. Now she fights back I am a 35 y/o homemaker, on disability for Bi-polar. My Brock is a 23 y/o EMT. We are just saying hello and getting comfortable here so we can help the family through life.

Hi Rainy and welcome to the forums. I can relate exactly to what you say in this passage:
"My darling girl Madelon is not ADD or ADHD. She is a sweet stubborn girl with amazing charm. She has in the past been terrified of her brother, he can be violent as well. Now she fights back."
Our ADHD son is 18 and can be violent (a bully, really). Our non-ADHD-son is 9 and has amazing charm but can be very stubborn. Now that the older boy has moved out of home, the younger boy is relaxing a lot more.
I'm glad that you joined us, Barry

S/O is signifigant other. In this case My fiancee once I manage to extricate myself from my current marriage. Moving to NC did not help since we have to be seperated for a year before we can start divorce proceedings.

THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT We all have been in one situation or another and we know it gets so frustrating sometimes adn you want to scream. Well, you can scream if you want too. We respect that there are so many treatment options out there and what works for some doesn't necessarily work for others. In coming here, I have the understanding that I AM NOT ALONE. It's not just my family that is dealing with so much stress and kids and spouses that don't listen or pick up after themselves or remember things, like the lunch money sitting on the counter this morning that my non-ahdh daughter forgot to grab and is lucky my mom works at hte school to give her lunch money. Sometimes we just need a good vent, like the example above
