I know some of this was probably answered in the post below. I'm just curious as I've never been outside the U.S. myself. I'm very curious about the rest of the world. I often wonder about my own ancestry as well. No one in my family knows anything about their ancestry or countries of origin. The best guesses we've been able to come up with are probably Germany and Ireland. There could be more, no one really knows. No one ever asked before I started questioning it.

Momx2 As you might have guessed already, I live in Finland, northern europe, right between sweden and Russia. You can go to that map-site of our´s and check yourself  I love mu country, love living in here and just LOVE compairing how similar problem´s we do have despite the ocean between us.  |

Hi MomX2 ... like Marja I am also from Europe ... but (unlike Marja) am in the UK ...
We also have Anneke who is from Belgium (but hopefully Anneke will see this and reply herself!) ... Oh and Barry (one of our mods) is from Canada ...
I believe we are the only ones outside of the US .. Am I right Marja? I hope I am not forgetting someone!

We also live in Canada Quebec to be exact but my parents are from New Brunswick (also in Canada) and most of them are Acadians that decends from france if I am not mistaken so I assume my moms side come from france....from my dads side far far away they came from England to france then to Canada
DH's parents come from Greece.... Imagine what family tree DS"S have!!!! ;D
