:)IMHO I would think he would start to even out.Playing with his cardsfor 6 hours was hyperfocusing. I would put a call into the Doc or nurse....there are many meds to work with and I would think that these moods swings are not a good thing. Are things better today?

Each kid is different, so it could still be adjusting Write all this down(because you`lll not remeber all this at the doc´s office) and show it to you doc, there are lot other option´s too, if this one is not wot´rking for him. Good luck

honey, it will get better. whether he stablizes on this medicine or another, it will happen. it would have been hard to convince me of that when my ds9 was going thru his med trial and errors, but it did happen. it will for you too.

tinker ... I agree with the others ... you WILL get there ! By the way cough medicine (or anything with a decongestant) is a no-no if your child is on stims... I learned this the hard way when my son was 13 and I gave him some cough medicine and he was up until 1.00 a.m. saying "My brain just will not settle down and I hate this feeling" ... apparently decongestants make them VERY hyperactive ....
But back to whether it will get better .... YES it will ... My other advice to you would be not to be in too much of a hurry right now ... your son is VERY young .... you have plenty of time to think about medications and what suits him best as he gets older ... and you have definitely recognised it very early on .... this is positive and just remember you have "plenty of time" to get it right ...
