ALL of you are tooooo kind! Thanks for all the compliments. He IS my little sweetheart, despite the chaos that is always a part of our lives. He knows though, there isn't ANYTHING I wouldn't do to help him no matter how difficult it may be.

Hi there,
I stumbled across you guys last week and have spent every free minute reading post, trying to soak up all your wisdom.
My name is Bobbie and I am a married mother of two boys. Josh (12) and Jason (5). My oldest son was diagnosed with ADD, boderline depression and social anxiety right after 3rd grade and he just started 6th grade this September. We have sampled a variety of treatments and at the time he is using Concerta and Zoloft. My youngest son Jason exhibits lots of symptoms but has yet to be officially diagnosed. Most people tell me "He's just a boy" as they turn and run as fast as they can. I only have 1 friend who has a child with some of the same struggles as mine, so most people just don't understand. They think it is insufficient parenting, or they are just bad kids. And I think I am going to strangle the next person that tells me " Oh my.. you have your hands full, don't you?". Like I really needed them to tell me that.
Anyways. I just wanted to stop in, say Hi and introduce myself and say thank you in advance for all the wonderful info I am sure I will find on this wonderful board.

I get so tired of people saying it is bad parenting, lack of discipline ect... Feeling judged all the time stinks! You will find many who know how you feel here, ummmm including me!!! Welcome again! cat

Hi Bobbie, welcome to the forums. Don't worry, we have all got those nasty people you just want to choke stories Although I think the top of my list would be my MIL, as she told me before we had our 2-girl Tara, boy Mikey, "Oh if you have a boy, he'll be just like Mark(BIL)" Thanks, I was blessed Look around, if You have any questions don't hesitate to ask. There is a very understanding group of parents and support here.

"Oh if you have a boy, he'll be just like Mark(BIL)" Oh, Kaiti, Mikey is sweet and friendly and funny... and he dresses normal. Don't ever think he is just like Mark. Remember, I saw Mark wearing a tin foil outfit walking down Main St. USA! No, your Mikey is a wonderful normal boy compared to his Uncle Mark.
