Hi friends. We are spending much of our winter vacation week searching for vacation ideas in April and the Summer. Our 10 yr. old son and ADHD beautiful little 5yr. old daughter(also takes Carbotrol for epilepsy) is very active and gets bored and distracted easily. If anyone has suggestions on places to visit in the Northeast and down south during April we hope you share them. Thanks so much!!!

Welcome! I asked my boys, 10. 12, and 14 for suggestions. They were born in Western Mass, lived in Northern Vermont, and are now in the Phila. area. This is just the beginning of suggestions! Crayola Crayon factory was fun, Bucks County, PA Baltimore Aquarium Frankin Institute in Phila (science but FUN and active museum... learning made fun... Ben was a good guy!) Vermont Teddy Bear Factory just south of Burlington

Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. Heritage Plantation, on Cape Cod, MA New York State Museum, Albany, NY Why can't I think of other fun stuff? Give me a few days to think... plus my sister use to be a tour guide for a New England based bus company... I'll ask her for ideas too. There is the obvious Washington DC cherry blossom tours in April. But I am trying to think of ways to entertain both ages... There is a PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM in Philadephia also.

Hi NGC
My son who is ADHD absolutely loves the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. I have been taking him there since he was 4 years old. Every summer he asks me to take him there at least 3 or 4 times. He never gets tired of going.
He also like the Central Park Zoo. It is a small zoo. You can see the whole thing in about half a day maybe even less but I think that is what he likes about it.
