I am stuck in a deadend job, unable to find anything better, lack experience and suffer from the fear that my ADHD will mess another job up. I am currently working on my 4th career, just can't find what I am good at .

Hey, buck up! Variety is the spice of life!
Welcome to our family.
I too have run a wide variety of jobs. I can't say that I know what I will do with my life yet... I'm only 38.
I have been a camp counselor, McDonald's burger flipper, worked at a museum, a pharmacy, Respiratory Therapist, Teddy Bear Counselor, a fire fighter, one hour photo lab tech., paramedic, ski patroller, insurance billing, manager of a swim club, McDonald's again, administrative assistant, day care provider, a nursing home, and NOW...
I am simply a home school mom, and for now I love this job... but for how long? I don't know!
But, there is little that I am not willing to try... I don't think I could be a pilot, and I don't think I want to be an engineer, but I am great at fixing plumbing, stuck windows, boo-boos, car problems, bad photos, sick animals, billing errors...
Think of this as college level "life experience" credit in the making!
What sort of things have you done, or could you do? Make a list of everything that even remotely sounds do-able, and you might surprise yourself with what you should do!

Been there! We ADHDs have an incredibly tough time of finding our niche in the workplace, because a large part of functioning well in that area is conformity, at which we do not excel!
I wish I could offer good advice, or words of comfort --- but about all I can realistically pass along is understanding!

Major ditto to you all! I've heard that that the average person holds 7 careers in their lifetime. If this is true, zeod123, try,try again!

Welcome aboard Zeod I have found my schitck, I think, then again, who knows. I work with kids, a before and after school program. Plus I volunteer for alot of stuff, while that doesn't qualify as emplyment, crap, sure is a lot of work. Between my job, my kids, and everything else, let's see, I'll make a list like Tridlette: I cook, clean, manage, organize, nurse boo boos, run another kitchen, launder, garden, um let's see, oh yeah, go to work My husband has worked at 2 truck stops, a stop on the Jersey Turnpike, 2 different landscaping deals, a trash bag plant, a cocoa plant, and now at a flooring plant. He sits on his butt and drives a fork lift. He told me the best job for him, if it paid enough would be to work at a gas station. It's always the same old same old, BUT with different faces. He loved working on the turnpike, never a dull moment he said. Oh make that list up and see what you can make of it. Take care (((((((((((hugs)))))))))) Kaiti
