Well, the results are in. I got diagnosed with adult adhd last wednesday at my counselours. I took the ITA computer test under the supervision of an adhd tester and it showed i was extremely impaired in both modalities of visual and auditory attention. She recommends a stimulant and I see my psychiatrist the 19th. I will let you know what happens from there. It is a blessing that I'm finally getting help for this after all these years. I talked with a CHADD chapter lady in my county yesterday and she's sending me info and i get to take things out of the lending library. They have a chapter primarily for kids, but she knows adhd adults and we are thinking about starting an adult adhd support group in my county. Just wanted to update you on this............. Katie

Great news to finally get the dx. It must run with the name, no matter how you spell it ;D As far as the support group, I'd say go for it, you can get together and see what has or hasn't worked for any of you, just like here. Good luck and Take Care Kaiti
