???I've been doing alot of thinking lately. Yes, that is the smell of my gears turning, in case you were wondering Anyhow. I was sitting on the porch this morning making a shopping list and writing down prices so I'd know how much I'd need to have on me. All of a sudden, I stopped :oI realized, where I was, what I was doing, but didn't know why I was tapping my pen on my pinky. I think they call it a blip. Well, I knew where I was, it's not like I was THAT out there. But I got to thinking, when I tap my pen on my pinky, does that make me think clearer, or does that make it worse. I came to the point that I was questioning MY tapping. I had always read that tapping or something while someone is working is a sign that more energy is there, and that it really isn't hurting anything. And in fact it helps a person think clearerer. I didn't see that because I was zoning. Does that make sense? I consciously tapped while I was finishing my list, and couldn't tell if it seemed to help. BUT when I was zoning and tapping, it was actually almost like a relief that I was escaping the real world, off in lala land. Well, just a thought to think about today. Have a great one Kaiti

Zoning.... a designation given to a land division to determine the type of development that can be done on the land ... Never mind it is a work thing ;D Kaiti, I also read that a lot of people with ADHD tendencies will be able to think more clearly if they are moving around or doing something. I always have the best conversations with Nate when he is coloring. I always think more clearly if I am walking around. I have most of my phone conversations standing up for that reason. Tapping, walking, doodling, music etc... are all sometimes necessary to clear the mind of unnecessary thought into those deep thoughts. Miles

Miles... get out of my mind. It is MY ZONE... not up for DEVELOPMENT!
Around here, we have an acronym that works for us... SPM
Spontaneous Perpetual Motion
Someone starts moving and they can't stop. It is actually contagious! When someone moves, things get done! I think Newton missed the final law of motion somewhere, and our kids are the case study to prove the theory. An item in motion tends to stay in motion... unless it is acted upon by an educator!

Sorry Miles, didn't want you to think you were at work I never really thought about the walking while talking. I get driven crazy if I can't find our portable phone, then I have to lean over and talk on the regular one, that is hooked to the answering machine, we can't go very far on that one. When I am reading on here, I find that I swivle on the stool if I am just readng......I twitch my foot when I am looking to respond and can't find the right words.....like just a second ago. Boy Trids on a teacher bash today. 8-)HAHA, I knew it was you in here reading. You must have posted right before I started typing Oh man, now I forget whatelse I was going to write.....thanks trid ;D ;D ;D

Do any of you guys ever catch youself thinking about something while you are driving and suddenly get scared when you can't remember the last stretch of road you were driving down. I tell myself that I had to be subconsciously watching where I was going.

;D ;D ;DI did that yesterday ;D ;DThat's what I call auto-pilot ;D I do it more when Mike drives, but yesterday I just had so much on my mind. I also have to think back sometimes.....did I come this was today or did I go the other way Although yesterday I had to keep tight lipped for a second. We were coming back from the club and Smashmouth's version of I'm a believer came on. I started to think about be bopping and stopped myself. I turn and look and there's Tara and Mikey be-bopping ;D ;D ;D Nope another shot that their definately mine ;D ;D ;D

I am also a leg shaker...my whole family is...guess we are all nuts ;D ;D My SIL (before she married my brother, I think) was sitting in between me and one of my cousins. We drove her so nuts that she put a hand on each of our legs and said STOP! (we weren't little at that time either - both of us were 20-ish) ...didn't stop her from marrying my brother, who does the same thing.

I can't stand that Mike's Bronco doesn't have a radio So of course it's a nice quiet drive......peaceful, I get to daydream, zone, make up little scenarios in my head. BUT as soon as we get into my truck WITH THER RADIO, he has to tell em this that and the other thing. so I nod and ah huh, and change the radio station HOPING he realizes I want to listen to IT, not HIM ;D ;D ;D I know, not nice ;D ;D ;DBut like Linda's husband or FIL, I have heard the same thing over and over and over. So I finally told him so........I felt bad, so now I just suck it up and wonder what I would do if........... ;D ;D ;D
